UCI Junior World Track Cycling Championships 2015

The 2015 UCI Junior World Track Cycling Championships takes place from the 19th - 23rd August 2015 at the Astana Velodrome in Kazakhstan.

Women's Keirin: Emma Hinze (Germany)

24th August 2015: Another Women's Sprint event, another victory for Emma Hinze of Germany as she again beat Courtney Field of Australia to take the Gold medal.

Bronze went to Sara Kankovska of the Czech Republic with Polish duo Julita Jagodzinska and Marlena Karwacka fourth and fifth respectively. Olivia Podmore of New Zealand was sixth.

Women's Omnium: Danielle McKinnirey (Australia)

24th August 2015: Danielle McKinnirey of Australia won the Women's Omnium on 189 points, ten ahead of Poland's European Champion Daria Pikulik.

Bronze went to Martina Alzini of Italy with Bryony Botha of New Zealand fourth and French rider Marion Borras fifth.

Women's Scratch Race: Elisa Balsamo (Italy)

24th August 2015: Elisa Balsamo of Italy won the Women's Scratch Race, beating Justyna Kaczkowska of Poland and Nicola MacDonald of Australia.

Laura Sussemilch of Germany was fourth with Mexican rider Karen Flores fifth.

Men's Madison: Australia
(Rohan Wight, Kelland O'Brien)

24th August 2015: Australia won the Men's Madison courtsey of Rohan Wight and Kelland O'Brien. The duo lapped the field to continue Australia's dominance of the Junior World Championships.

Russia's Dmitrii Markov and Maksim Piskunov won the Silver Medal ahead of Italian's Carloalberto Giordani and Imerio Cima with Switzerland fourth.

Men's Keirin: Derek Radzikiewicz (Australia)

24th August 2015: Derek Radzikiewicz of Australia won the Men's Keirin in fine style, beating Jiri Janosek of the Czech Republic and Moritz Meissner of Germany.

Sebastien Vigier of France was fourth with Martin Cechman of the Czech Republic fifth. Muhammad Khairil Nizam Rasol of Malaysia was relegated from the Bronze medal position for deviating from his line.

Men's Omnium: Campbell Stewart (New Zealand)

24th August 2015: Campbell Stewart of New Zealand won the Men's Omnium on 191 points, ten ahead of Rohan Wight of Australia.

Bronze went to Max Kanter of Germany with Italian Stefano Moro fourth and Sergey Rostovtsev of Russia.

Men's Sprint: Je One Park (Korea)

24th August 2015: Je One Park of Korea won the Men's Sprint as he beat Jiri Janosek of the Czech Republic to become Junior World Champion.

Moritz Meissner of Germany took the Bronze medal as he beat Marcin Czyszczewski of Poland.

24th August 2015: Emma Hinze continued the German domination of the Women's Sprint events at the 2015 UCI Junior World Track Cycling Championships as she beat Courtney Field of Australia to win the Women's Sprint.

Bronze went to Kseniya Bogoyavlenskaya of Russia who beat Yuli Verdugo of Mexico. Final Results

Men's Points Race: Shunsuke Imamura (Japan)

24th August 2015: Shunsuke Imamura of Japan won the Men's Points Race with a total of thirty-one points, to easily beat Armenia's Edgar Stepanyan who finished on twenty-five points.

Bronze went to Gerben Thijssen of Belgium, with Poland Szymon Krawczyk of fourth and Connor Byway of Canada was fifth.

Women's Individual Pursuit: Justyna Kaczkowska (Poland)

24th August 2015: Justyna Kaczkowska of Poland repeated her European Championship success as she became Junior World Champion in the Women's 2km Individual Pursuit in a time of 2m 25.684s. Marion Borras of France won the Silver medal in a time of 2m 26.170s.

Madeleine Park of New Zealand won the Bronze medal, beating Ireland's Josie Knight.

Men's Individual Pursuit: Leo Appelt (Germany)

24th August 2015: Leo Appelt of Germany won the Men's 3km Individual Pursuit in a time of 3m 15.432s, six seconds faster than Daniel Staniszewski of Poland.

Bronze went to Kelland O'Brien of Australia who beat Evan Burtnik of Canada in a time of 3m 19.948s. Qualification Results

Men's Kilometre Time Trial: Jiri Janosek (Czech Republic)

24th August 2015: Jiri Janosek of Czech Republic won the Men's Kilometre Time Trial in a time of 1m 02.200s, 0.478s faster than Silver medallist Alexander Vasyukhno of Russia.

Cameron Scott of Australia won the Bronze medal in a time of 1m 03.417s with Sam Ligtlee of the Netherlands fourth and Dawid Czubak.

Women's Team Pursuit: New Zealand
(Bryony Botha, Michaela Drummond, Madeleine Park, Holly White)

21st August 2015: Bryony Botha, Michaela Drummond, Madeleine Park and Holly White recorded a Junior World Record time of 4m 31.966s to give New Zealand the Junior World Championship title. Six seconds separated the Kiwis from the Australian quartet of Danielle McKinnirey, Nicola Macdonald, Chloe Moran and Brooke Tucker.

Bronze went to Kie Furuyama, Yuya Hashimoto, Nao Suzuki and Yumi Kajihara of Japan who beat Russia to the final step on the podium.

(Rohan Wight, Alex Rendell, Kelland O'Brien, James Robinson)

21st August 2015: Rohan Wight, Alex Rendell, Kelland O'Brien and James Robinson claimed the Men's Team Pursuit in a time of 4m 05.555s, easily faster than Silver medallists Switzerland. Reto Muller, Stefan Bissegger, Robin Froidevaux and Gino Mader who could only manage 4m 11.370s.

Russia beat Germany to win the Bronze medal.

Women's 500m Time Trial: Pauline Sophie Grabosch (Germany)

21st August 2015: Pauline Sophie Grabosch of Germany became the Junior World 500m Time Trial Champion after she recorded a time of 34.657s to beat team mate Emma Hinze, the European Champion, who clocked 34.729s.

Bronze went to Olivia Podmore of New Zealand on 34.980s with her team mate Emma Cumming fourth on 35.484s. Final Results

Women's Team Sprint: Germany
(Emma Hinze, Pauline Sophie Grabosch)

20th August 2015: Emma Hinze and Pauline Sophie Grabosch stormed to Gold in the Women's Team Sprint in a Junior World Record time of 33.899s. The German duo easily beat New Zealand's Emma Cumming and Olivia Podmore who still recorded an impressive time of 34.219s.

Italian duo Miriam Vece and Elena Bissolati won the Bronze medal on 34.815s after beating Australia's Courtney Field and Tahlay Christie.

Women's Points Race: Daria Pikulik (Poland)

20th August 2015: Daria Pikulik of Poland won the Women's Points Race after a commanding performance. Pikulik scored twenty-three points to beat Yumi Kajihara of Japan who scored nineteen points.

Kristina Selina of Russia claimed the Bronze medal ahead of Karen Flores of Mexico and Micaela Belen Barroso of Argentina.

Men's Team Sprint: Russia
(Sergey Isaev, Alexey Nosov, Aleksandr Vasyukhno)

20th August 2015: Following their success at the European Championships last month, favourites Russia took an easy victory in the Men's Team Sprint. Sergey Isaev, Alexey Nosov and Aleksandr Vasyukhno recorded a new Junior World Record time of 44.767s to comfortably beat Australia's Scott Cameron, Connor Rowley and Derek Radzikiewicz who clocked 45.724s.

Bronze went to Poland who beat the Czech Republic.
