5th August 2012: Lasse Norman Hansen of Denmark produced a fantastic Kilometre Time Trial performance of 1m 02.314s to take second behind Ed Clancy's 1m 00.314s that although an amazing time was only worth Bronze after his poor results in the bunch race events meant regardless of his results in his stronger Time Trialling based events he could never win Gold.
